Principal

Genitco is founder-led. Architectural decisions are made by someone who owns the outcome, not a consultant who leaves after delivering recommendations.

Background

Principal architect roles across healthcare, regulated commerce, security operations, legal systems, and embedded device manufacturing. Experience in environments where architectural decisions directly impact compliance, operational risk, and the number of people required to operate systems.

Scope of Responsibility

Full ownership of system architecture, from initial design through implementation and ongoing evolution. Authority to make technical decisions that other teams execute against. Responsibility for outcomes: reduced friction, lower risk, fewer people required to operate systems.

Why External Principal Architects

Organizations hire external principal architects when they need architectural control but cannot justify a full-time principal role, or when existing technical leadership lacks the scope to make architectural decisions across organizational boundaries. External principals provide authority without the overhead of permanent headcount, and bring experience from similar environments that internal teams may lack.
